Cave Tubing and Canopy Zip-Lining Tour

Adaventure through the mysterious darkness of the Mayan underworld as you cave tube through our Belize rivers and zip-line through the jungle.

Our Cave Tubing and Canopy Zip-lining Tour starts with a short hike in the heart of the Belizean wilderness. Upon arrival, you will be given a safety briefing and outfitted with a body harness, helmet, and gloves. Traverse from treetop to treetop, 80 feet above the forest floor, dangling from the steel cables of the zip-line. This tour includes five platforms ranging from 100 to 500 feet of flying – allowing you to experience some of the best ziplining in Belize!!

After working up a sweat with our zip-lining excursion, take a refreshing tour of our cooling rivers while cave tubing. Hike for 30 minutes to the entrance of the magnificent cave system. You will reach a stunning lagoon surrounded by steep limestone walls to witness the mystery of “Xibalba,” the heart of the Mayan underworld. By now you are in the depths of this ancient cave system and can float along in the darkness, with your headlamp as the only source of light. Led by our guides and gently pushed along by a flowing current, you will pass through impressive sanctuaries used by the Maya for sacrificial rituals. Plunge into darkness if you are brave enough to turn off your headlamps, and listen to the sounds of the cascading waterfalls and rapids.

Start your journey traveling the most scenic highway in Belize. Its winding hills and lush greenery make for a pleasant and captivating ride as you drive the Hummingbird Highway on your way to the Cayo District. During your three-hour drive, you will enjoy passing through many small, local villages and even the nation’s capital, Belmopan, to get a feel of everyday life in Belize.

The Western Highway then takes you through the bustling market town of San Ignacio that sits on the banks of the Macal River. Your journey continues west where you will cross the Mopan River on a hand-cranked ferry to access the large Mayan archaeological site of Xunantunich (pronounced shu-nan-tu-nitch), translated as the Stone Lady or Maiden of the Rocks.
